"Damn door." Jak cursed, as she finally managed to open it. She didn't seem to have the best luck with doors. Or at least this one. "Hello?" She called. As she picked up one of the many bags she had with her. "Anyone home..?" Jak placed the bag down on the floor as nothing but the sound of silence fallowed her call. "Sweet. First one here." She smirked. Quickly retrieving the rest of her bags, picking out a room and setting them inside. Not feeling the need to unpack just yet.
Jak wondered about this surprisingly large dorm room before standing in front of the window. Opening it widely, she reached into her back pocket for her freshly opened carton of cigarettes. Lighting one and taking a rather large drag. "This place actually isn't too bad mom." Speaking to herself of course. Being that is was her mothers fault that she was here. What was the word her mother used? Oh yeah. "Uncontrollable." Jak rolled her eyes to the mere thought of that word. Before taking another large drag.

Kacie sat on the dorm's plush couch in the slighty hid living room, a jones soda in one hand and the television clicker in the other. Currently she was watching a celebrity show on VH1, one spiked-boot adorned foot propped up on the coffee table. She turned her attension away from the t.v., hearing voice coming from somewhere in the front of the dorm. She clicked off the set and stood up, tossing the remote down on the sofa and heading toward the sound.
She walked through a hallway that led to a series of four doors, one room for each of her four dorm-mates. Kacie noticed one of the doors were open and leaned on the ajar door's frame. A girl stood there opposite of her looking out the window, a smoke at hand. She smiled, "Hey, sorry I didn't answer sooner. I was in the back room with the t.v. on.". She paused and took a breath, "I'm Kacie Kissinger, and you are?" she inquired friendly, taking a sip from the glass bottle.

Jak jolted her head in the direction of the newly found voice. "Oh. Wow. I didn't know anyone else was here." She explained, eyes trying down to her cigarette. "Sorry. I can put if out if you want." She shrugged. Taking a another some what long drag from it. Just in-case her room mate did in fact want her to get rid of it. You never know. Some people were against smoking after all.
Jak took a step forward. "I'm Jak. Jak Kemp. Short for Jackie." She thought she'd just through that in there now, to avoid the usual confused looks. Yes. She did get those from time to time, fallowed by , "Jak's a boy's name". Honestly. She'd rather avoid that. "So.. How long have you been here?" She asked. Hoping to spark up a somewhat decent conversation with her new room mate.

Trent climbed up several flights of stairs before walking down the 5th floor corridor leading to his, supposively massive, dorm room. He looked back and forth in the hallway, noticing that there was a ton of space between each door/dorm. "Damn, they must be huge." he quickly thought to himself before arriving at his destination, dorm number 34. He rummaged for his key and finally managed to find it within all the clutter in his deep pocket. Trent jammed the key into the lock and turned open the door. Walking inside the landing of the dorm, he smiled to himself. Looking around, he continued holding his stuff, taking himself on a self-serve tour of the place. Walking through the kitchen, and then decided on taking a path into a hallway. In the hallway there were 4 doors, obviously leading to the bedrooms. Trent walked into an open door, finding the room empty. He dumped his stuff of the floor and decided to see who was home.
Walking back through the kitchen, he took the other path, which lead into a main room. He looked to his right, and then to his left and noticed two girls standing by a bay window. He smiled, immediately recognizing one of them as Kacie Kissinger, a girl he had danced with at a club just the night before. And there was also another girl that he did not know. He decided to walk up and introduce himself to the 'un-known' girl, and say 'Hi' to Kacie again. "Hey, sorry if I'm interrupting anything. I'm Trent McAdams, you're new roommate." He said to the brown-haired girl. Looking over at Kacie he smiled bright, "Hey Kacie, I guess we'll be able to keep in touch easily now, huh?" he said, with a quick chuckle. Trent looked around the room and admired the spaceous area, waiting for a responce.

Kacie smiled friendly. "Nah, don't worry about it. I smoke too." she said, taking out a camel cartage from her own pocket and putting it between her fingers on her free hand. "I'm Kacie Kissinger." she introduced herself, lighting up her cigarette and taking a quick drag off of it. She stood up from her leaning position on the door as she exhaled. "I came in around midnight last night. This place was hard as fck to find with all the lights dim." she chuckled. "Where you from?" she asked before hearing another voice from behind her.
It was Trent from the night before. What is he doing here? She looked over to the room across the hallway, seeing luggage that was neither hers or Jak's. "Small world." she looked back up to Trent with a smile, then coolly taking another drag. She looked down at her Jones bottle, seeing that it was empty. She tapped her cigarette on the end on the bottle's mouth, letting the ashes fall into the bottle. "Do either of you know who our other room-mate is?" she asked, looking from one of them to the other.

Jak watched as the girl she now knew as Kacie pull out her own packet of cigarettes. "Thank god." She spoke, which make out as more of a sigh of relief. "I was almost terrified of having a room mate that despised smoking." Jak leaned back against the frame of the window. "Around midnight huh? Damn. I bet that really sucked. Trust me, I would have been running into everything just trying to find this place. Hell, it was hard enough with the sun out." Jak smirked slightly. Taking another small drag. "The city of angels," She replied when asked where she was from. "More commonly known as, LA." She explained. "How about you?" She asked, Brushing a random stray hair from her eyes.
However, her attention darted to the door upon the arrival of room mate number two. He introduced himself as Trent. And, it seemed as if Kacie and him had already met. "Oh. I'm Jak Kemp. Nice to meet you." She smiled, Not bothering to pour into the whole, short for Jackie again. No point now. Her attention shifted when asked about room mate number three. "Sorry. No clue." Jak shrugged. Now sitting on the arm rest of a near by chair, bringing the cigarette to her thin lips.

Trent smiled as the girl introduced herself. "Nice to meet you, Jak." he said, suddenly zoning out. Thinking to himself, he wasn't really sure of how to handle all of this 'moving to a new school thing,' It was all a bit over-whelming, but Trent was used to over-whelming situations. He wasn't sure why this moving one was taking such a negative effect on him, but it was. He quickly snapped back and just caught Kacie's question. "Um, I'm with Jak. Noo idea."
He looked over and out the window. They had an amazing view from their dorm. Turning his attention back to the girls he stuck his hands in his pocket and began tapping his foot, a bad habit he had acquired in his band days. "So, how long have each of you been here?" he asked, not knowing what they had already previously talked about - he figured that might be an 'okay' conversation starter. Trent wasn't much of a talking person when it came down to full-on conversations. He looked down at his feet and then back up again, waiting for someone to respond.
0HH 0HH SEE - Sorry for the tremendously sucky post.

After waiting in the office for three hours, Becca was tired, hot and frustrated. The polite lady at the counter had run her patience dry and all Becca wanted to do was smoke and lie in her bed. After what seemed like an eternity, she was called to the front desk and given her room assignments. Almost running out the door, she went to her car, grabbed the rest of her luggage, and began her trek up the stairs to the second floor. Damn, these things must be huge. There's like five rooms of space between each dorm. I wonder if I'm the first one or probably the last one here. Becca couldn't keep her thoughts straight. After finding her dorm, she grabbed her key, thrust it into the door, and walked it to the smell of fresh paint. "Ahh, I am so happy that I'm finally here." She looked over at the doors, going to pick out her room. She found a pretty decent sized light blue dorm. Throwing her luggage onto the bed, she went to see if anyone else was here.
Walking around the dorm, she heard voices, then smelled the sweet, familiar smell of cigarette smoke. She followed the scent, and turned the corner to see two girls and a boy, and both girls were smoking. "Hey, you must be my three roommates. I'm Becca. Hey, can I bum a smoke off of either one of you. My day has been filled with stress, and I haven't got a chance to buy some here." Her stomach was fluttering, and the familiar sensation of always trying to be liked came back. She quickly shoved that feeling aside, and tried to take a good look at the people she was going to be living with for the next year. They all seemed normal, but everyone has secrets. She flashed a quick smile, as to not seem like she was staring at them, and took a quick look around the dorm. This place is beautiful. Certainly better than the other schools..

Apparently, they had just gotten their answer, as a slender blond made her way through the door. She took her moment to look the girl up and down. Wondering her personality. Wondering if they'd get along. Her thoughts were broken as she heard the girl speak, asking for a cigarette. She pulled a freshly opened carton of Newport's from her back pocket and extended it toward the girl. "Take one. I'm Jak by the way." She smiled. At least I wont get yelled at for smoking she thought. Considering it seemed like they all smoked. Expect Trent that is. She wasn't all to sure about him just yet.
These would be the people she spend the next year of her life with. That feeling was almost over-whelming. She wasn't use really living with people other than her brother. And just that was hard enough. Could this silence last any longer.. She probably shouldn't jinx it. For she knew it could. She just hated silence, especially around those she was just meeting. It almost felt like a bad omen. That or. She was just insane. Take your pick. "Well." She started, trying to spark up a decent conversation. She lifted the cigarette up to her lips. "Welcome to the first day of the rest of the year..." She spoke, which almost came out as a sigh.

"I'm from Tampa Bay, Flordia. Ever -" Kacie responded before being cut off by a girl who had just arrived. She introduced herself as Becca and as our final roommate. Kacie went to reach for her pocket as everyone went to introduce themselves, but Jak beat her to her cigarette carton. "I'm Kacie." she said, finishing off her own cigarette and dropping it into the bottle. She looked around, noticing the beach view from a nearby window. Her eyes quickly darted back to the four of them when Jak started to speak.
"Hell yeah, & lets make the best of it, hm?" she said with a laugh walking over into the open kitchen and washing her cigarette waste-filled bottle out and setting it on the counter. Kacie opened the refridgerator, looking for something to eat. "Hey, does anyone want to order chinese or something? I'm like, starved." she half-way shouted from inside the fridge. She stood up and looked on the kitchen counter for all the take-out numbers. She looked up once again, seeing if the others were interested.

"Might as well, we're stuck with each other for the rest of the year." Trent said, smiling especially to Kacie. He turned back, and looked at his three roommates - "I have a feeling this is going to be a very, very, interesting year." he thought to himself, as he watched Kacie walk into the kitchen, he heard something go off. When he realized that it was he cell phone, signaling someone had texted him, he pulled it out and flipped the screen open. Reading that it was from his friend Hunter, from back home he quickly typed a reply. Closing the screen, he slipped it back into his pocket.
When Kacie suggested Chinese, Trent felt his stomach growl slightly and it sounded so good at that particular moment. He felt his cell phone go off again, and he pulled it out once again. reading the message, he quickly flipped it open and typed, 'Lol, cool. Well, I have to go were ordering takeout.' he turned his phone on silent and put it into his pocket once more. Trent returned his attention to Kacie, answering her question. "Ooh. Chinese food sounds awesome right now." he said, as he walked into the kitchen.

Becca smiled at the girl who introduced herself as Jak. "Jak..that's a pretty name." She then turned to the other girl who introduced herself as Kacie. She shook her hand and then looked over at the boy who has yet to introduce himself. She was about to say hi to the boy when Kacie walked into the kitchen and suggested chinese. As much as she hated it, her stomach growled and she looked down at it. She slowly made her way to the kitchen to look at the takeout menu Kacie had. "Mhmm, good idea. I'll take the number seven, the chicken lo mien. Do you guys want me to go and get it, or shall we have it delivered?" She wanted to be nice to people, and trust me, it wasn't easy for her. Well, everywhere else I went I had enemies, so I should try to make friends.
While Kacie was in the kitchen, Becca went to her room. She looked around her room, noticing it had a place for her lab top and a flat screen t.v. Damn, some of the girls in rehab would be willing to go to school if they lived in dorms like these. She quietly laughed as her back pocket vibrated. It was her ex agent, wondering how she was adjusting to school life, but Becca knew it was another chance to get her in some kind of commercial or movie. Ignoring the text, she went back into the kitchen to see if everyone was still in there. "Have we all decided what we want?"

Jak smiled to the girl as she was complimented. "Thanks. I dont get that often." Which of course. Was true. She must say. Being compliment was way nicer. She fallowed Kacie into the kitchen and her grin grew quite wide as the mention of food was braught up. Dont let her overly thin figure decieve you. When she wanted, this girl could pack food away like no other. "Chinesse. Yum." She smiled. "I feel like I havent eaten in days." She laughed. "And, Chinesse is my favorite."
Jak looked over Kacie's shoulder slighlty to view the take out menu. "Gah.. So much to choice from." She made a scrunched up face for a moment. Than laughed some. She turned her attention to Becca as she re-entered the room. "Well. I say we order in, Just so we can be lazy." She shurgged. "Unless you really want to go and get it" She smiled.
ooc; Horrid post. >.<;; Sorry. I'm rushed right now. Got to get up to the hospital.

Kacie smiled as she saw everyone get enthused about Chinese food, one of her favorites as well. "I agree with Jak. Let's just order it so that we can hang out and stuff." she said, looking through the menu for the seasame chicken lunch order. Mmm. That sounds soo good. After she found her order, number 37, she wrote down her number and left the menu on the counter for everyone else to view. She walked back out of the kitchen and into the living room nearby. She sat down, crossing her right leg over her left and turning on the television once again. MTV's Cribs came through the speakers and soon appeared on the screen. It was Bam Margera's house this time, but she had already seen it. Mmm. Bam Margera. she thought with a laugh.
She looked over at the other's, particuarly Trent, then back at her feet. "Wow. Forgot to take off my shoes." she laughed once again. She zipped both boots down and then slipped them off, her jean-legs falling to cover her sock adorned feet. She picked up her shoes, got up, and through the hallway and into her room. She set them next to her dresser and took another look around her room. She walked over to her bed and then plopped down onto its down-comforter, listening to the others chat.

Trent watched Kacie write down her order, then his eyes darted as he followed her movement out of the room. He suddenly felt like a creep just watching her like that, but hey - he was a guy. (There's an excuse that never gets old.) Looking over at the menu, he paused, thinking for a second. Sliding the pen and paper over to Becca so she could write down her order, he looked over - remembering that he had yet to introduce himself. "Hey Becca, sorry for not introducing myself earlier. I'm Trent, Trent McAdams." he said with a light smile.
Returning his attention to the menu, only one item seemed to pop-out at him and that was the sweet and sour chicken. He retrieved the piece of paper and wrote down his order, the menu still in his hand. Smiling he caught Kacie's eye out of his perefreal vision. Looking back to Jak and Becca, he handed Jak the menu and looked around the kitchen. He exited the kitchen and walked into the living room, hoping he would catch Kacie. As he approached the middle of the lliving room, he watched as she walked down the hallway. Not wanting to feel even more like a stalker than he already did, he waited a minute until he was sure she was going to her room. Trent walked the pathway to Kacie's room, and walked in. He smiled as he looked around. Walking up to the bed, the sat down next to Kacie and let out a breath. Not knowing exactly what to say, he paused a moment and waited for her to say something first, as he didn't want to sound stupid or anything.
