Jason threw open the doors to Bay Pointe's huge library. Feeling highly aggrivated from the immense load of homework he had just received from 3 of his required classes. He tossed his Chemistry, English and Pre-Calculus books onto the table and set his bag on the ground. Walking over to the shelves he pulled out several books on Anne Frank, his assigned topic for his research paper. Heading back over to the table he set down the four books that he had found and pushed them aside. "God Damn. I'm never going to get this shit done by Monday." he said aloud to himself, trying to be as quiet as possible.
Jason picked up his Chemistry book and opened to page 41. Taking out the packet containing 10 pages that he had shoved in there he quickly flipped through it. Setting it down he flipped back to page 29 and began reading. After he reached page 36, he began to grow impaitent and shut the book. Looking up, he realized he was the only one left in the library. He sighed, and took out his black Nokia 5300 cell phone. Reaching into his backpack he pulled out the headphones that plugged into it and he turned on his music from the MP3 bulit into the phone. The song 'Bang the Doldrums' by FOB began blasting through the headphones. He set the phone on the table, leaned back in the chair and got lost in the music.

An army green messenger back hung loosely at her sides, it, being covered in a mass amount of safety pins and band patches. Every few steps the bag would collide with the back of her left leg. There was already a bruise there from as many times as her AP Biology hit her leg. Jak pushed the door to the library open. Stepping inside and taking a quick look around. Some much homework.. So little time. she sighed. She wondered down around the rows of empty desks, quickly choosing one and tossing her back on top of it. Besides a large amount of AP Biology homework, she had a research paper to write. However, the topic was her own choice. Making the assignment that much easier. The paper needing to be ten pages in length. Her choice topic? The Occult. It was historical,... In a way.
Jak pulled a lime green Ipod Nano from her back right pocket, turning it on, she shifted through her song selections. Finally settling on Marilyn Manson. A favorite of hers. She placed the right head phone in her ear, leaving the left one to dangle at her side. That way, she'd hear if someone tired to talk to her. Roaming about the stacks of books, she came across the 'New Age' section. Which, did just so happen to be her favorite. Shifting through books dating from the tragic Salem Witch-trials of the 1600's, to Wicca books, she found what she was looking for. A book on the history of the Occult. Pulling the book from the shelf, she flipped through it, heading back to her table.

Jason began singing out loud to the song, not realizing that he was not alone in the library anymore. "Ex-friends til' the end, better off as lovers." and since it was the end of the song, the word 'lovers' was in an arepeggio-type thing, which forced him to go into his upper singing register for. Jason didn't honestly care, since in the back of his mind he knew he was an amazing singer, as he was told several times by people, especially his girlfriend Kaleena. He sighed as he pulled his Chemistry book and packet toward him, waiting for the next song to being to play on his phone.
After the song ended completely, 'Teenagers' by My Chemical Romance began playing - still thinking he was alone in the library, he began scribbling answers down to the questions on his packet. Before he knew it, he was belting out the song. "They're gonna rip up your heads, your aspiration to shreds. Another cog in the murder machine. They said all, teenagers scare the living shit out of me. They could care less, as long as someone will bleed. So darken your clothes, or strike a violent pose. Maybe they'll leave you alone, but not me." He allowed his eyes to wander around the room, noticing a girl sitting at a table now, doing some research. He blushed, big time, as he saw that one of her ear pieces, wasn't in her ear. Taking out his headphones, he walked over to her table and began to say something, anything to not make him look like a total doof. "Hey, sorry if my terrible singing distracted you." pausing for a moment, he thought, "Nice move, idiot. Now she's going to say something like, 'Oh, i didn't hear you' or, 'Your singings not terrible at all.'" Jason felt like kicking himself, as he waited for a reply from the girl.

Jak tossed the book down on the table. Sighing heavily as she plopped her Pattie body in-to the chair. Flipping open the book, she began to toss through the pages, not even bothering to read any of the text at first. Blah blah blah... Okay. So. She wasn't in the mood to study right now. Or, in the matter. Write a ridiculously long essay. Even if she was interested in the topic. However, her thoughts were gladdy interrupted by a particularly loud boy singing. Oh wow... someone sure isn't shy... She bit her lip to hold back her laughter. It wasn't that he was a bad singer, because he wasn't. Not by far. He was actually decent. Good. What made her want to laugh was the fact that he was shouting the song out at the top of his lungs, in a place most would chuck books at him for. After all. Weren't library's known for there peaceful aura?
She tried hard to contain her laugher when she saw the boy pull his head phones off and get up from his seat, she turned her head to the book. Trying hard to make it seem like she wasn't watching him. After all, she didn't want to come off like a stalker now did she? And finally, he spoke. Of course, Jak was always known for her Witty come backs. "Nah. I don't mind being distracted." She smiled. "I actually enjoy it." She lifted her head to look at him. "I'm Jak by the way. Jak Kemp."

Jasons' face turned redder by the second. He was one to get embarrassed way too easily. He smiled as she said her comment about being distracted. Jason waited for her to introduce herself, and when she did so, he learned her name was Jak. "That's such a unique name. I like it." he said, smiling. "I'm Jason Riley, by the way." he took a moment to pause. "Yeah, I usually just belt stuff out when I'm alone.. well, in this case, when I think I'm alone." he said, with a nervous chuckle.
Looking down at her homework that she had out, he noticed some advanced Biology stuff laying out. Jason was in AP Calculus/Statistics, but he had never been good at science. He barely pulled a C, B- if he was lucky. Trying to think of something to say, not wanting the akward silence to last any longer, he finally settled on something. "So, have you met any nice people yet? Or has it just been kind of, eh?" he said, allowing his eyes to wander the library. Before Jak had a chance to respond, Jason heard the song "Vulnerable" by Secondhand Serenade play from his table that he had been sitting at. He looked back, not wanting to be rude to either his caller, or Jak. He said, "Hold that thought." and jogged over to his table. Seeing that it was Kaleena, his girlfriend, he slid the phone up as fast as he could and smiled. "Hey babe....Yeah, yeah. I really like it here....Mhm, well, I gotta go, I'm in the library. I'll talk to you later, okay?.....Love you too, bye." he said, sliding the phone shut. Walking back over to Jak, slipping the phone into his pocket on the walk over. "Sorry about that, you were about to say?"

Jak bit her lip. Not wanting to laugh at him. Finding, that might just be a tad bit rude. Once, finding out her name. She smiled at his comment. "Thank you. Well, it's short for Jackie. Which, I guess. Really doesn't make it all too unique." She laughed softly, brushing a strand of hair from her face. "Well, Nice to meet you Jason." Yeah. That was a pretty typical and probably lame way to repeat after meeting someone. But. She was slacking on what to say. She hated the awkward moment right after meeting someone. She laughed, "Well. All of us are guilty or something every now and again, Right?" She smirked. Jak sang out loud too when she was alone. But, she wasn't about to tell people that. Considering she was shy about her singing. Even though, not to be.. conceited or anything. But, she was very good. She just didn't like other people to actually know that.
Science was one the only things she was good at in school. Well. Other than English and Art. As for Math, and History and what not. Please.. She wished she was good. Trust was. She shucked. Big time. She needed a calculator for the simplest math problem. And, she was guilty of counting on her fingers still. She heard his next question, however just as she parted his thin lips to speak, a sound came from his table and he rushed off. A cell phone? Of course, Jak tried not to ease-drop. Honest. However, it was quite hard with him only a few feet from her. Raising an eyebrow to the end of the conversation, than watched as he walked back to her. "Girlfriend?" She asked, again pushing the hair from her eyes. "Eh. I've met my room mates. That's it. You?" She asked. Curious.

" Ah, yeah. I haven't seen her in a few months, and I don't get to talk to her much. But, sorry about that though." he said, feeling kind of bad for walking away in the middle of the conversation like that, the more that he thought about it. " Well, that's still cool. Who's in your dorm?" he asked, right before she squeezed his question in. " I've met my one roommate, Brendan. He's a really cool guy." he said, smiling. Looking around the library he looked back to Jak. " Hold on, I'm going to grab my stuff really fast." he said, really not trying to be rude again, just so he could sit and get comfortable and stuff. Walking over to his table again his picked up his cellphone and headphones, stuffing them in his pocket. Grabbing all his books in his left hand/arm, and his backpack on his right shoulder, he made his way over to the table where Jak was sitting. Setting all the stuff down, he sat in a chair across from her, so he could talk more comfortably. " So, do you have any hobbies or do you play any sports?" he asked, wondering what kind of girl she really was. OOC; Omg, terrrrrrrible post. But whatever. You get the point of it. haha.

Jak nodded, listening to him go on about his girlfriend. "Ah, it must suck to never really see her," She gave him an almost sympathetic look. She wouldn't have been able to handle it. She was a real, hands on girlfriend. She was the kind of girl to see and be with her boyfriends a lot. Than again, she really hadn't had one in a while. Than, smiled at him as her thoughts were interrupted at his next question. "Uh, I have.. Kacie, Trent, and Becca." She smiled, "It's not all bad. There pretty cool." She said with a slightly laugh.
Than, he got up to get his stuff. Good idea. Considering it was probably really uncomfortable to keep standing just because of her. She'd feel bad after awhile. When he came back, she pushed her own stuff aside. Making more room for him to stuff. "Well, as for sports. I play soccer and I'm on the dance team." She said, smiling at just the thought of it. Loving both of them deeply. "As for hobbies, I write. Sing. Attempted to play the guitar. Paint. And.." She thought for a moment longer. "... Now, I'm drawling a blank." She laughed. Pushing hair from her face, "But, enough on me. I'm lame. Tell me about you."
ooc; Sorry. That really sucked. XD;; Haha.
